The Installation Process
The computer is mounted next to your main electrical service panel in a rain-tight UL- approved enclosure. It can be painted to match your home’s color.
The main computer chassis is mounted inside the enclosure and all the appropriate wires are run from the computer to the main service panel. This allows the computer to monitor all the electric usage in the home and to manipulate the major consumers of electricity in your home (i.e. air conditioners, water heaters, etc.)
CTs--or current transformers--are mounted on the main feeders of power to your home and are then connected to the computer’s central processing unit. That way, the computer knows exactly how much power your home is using at any given moment, right down to the light bulb that comes on when you open your refrigerator.
All connections are then made to the computer and its relays, current transformers, power supply, grounding, relay harnesses and relay connection.

This allows us to customize your computer by programming it to best fit your lifestyle. The computer is capable of being programmed for many different rate structures, so if in the future your utility company comes out with a better rate structure, it can easily be reprogrammed. The final and most important stage of the installation is programming the system with our hand-held computer programmer.
The Completed Installation. The enclosure has locking capability and has a hinged door for easy access. Inside the door is a permanent copy of the one-page owner’s manual. This manual contains simple, easy-to-understand instructions on how to operate, set and get the most out of your new computer. On the relay plate, we put estimates of what we think your home should be able to run at and an area for you to write down the actual settings. The black knob is how you set the computer. It has numbers ranging from one to 15 around it, and you just line up the white line on the knob with the appropriate number for your home and it is set! It's that easy! Our phone number is located in three different areas on the system. Do not hesitate to call us if you have any questions about the system, from settings to savings. This is new technology for most homeowners and we want you to get the most out of your system.
